Westfield Technical Academy Open House

Westfield Technical Academy hosted its annual CTE (Career Technical Education) open house on October 24th and, as in the past, Jarvis Surgical played a big role. The event introduces area parents and their prospective 7th and 8th grade students to opportunities in technical careers ranging from allied health to automotive and aviation technologies, and from culinary arts to manufacturing technology.

The Academy is a vocational high school which provides its students with straight-to-career training, as well as the tools required to pursue a college education. The open house allows Jarvis Surgical and other local companies to showcase the many exciting career choices available to these students.

Jarvis Surgical has partnered for years with local Massachusetts and Connecticut institutions such as Westfield Technical Academy, Westfield High School, and Asnuntuck Community College to bring in their students on an intern program. Jarvis, which has long maintained its commitment to the local commerce and to the many talented people in the community, sees this as one more way we can showcase our company and our employees, and the many exciting career opportunities in the trades.
